Mentha cervina

Mentha cervina, also known as Hart's pennyroyal, a member of the mint genus, is a sprawling herb growing up to 30 cm tall. It is native to the western Mediterranean from France south to the Azores and Algeria.<ref>Kew World Checklist of Selected Plant Families</ref>

It is very closely related to the "real" pennyroyal. It has very fragrant leaves and foliage. Its essential oils are high in pulegone.<ref>Mentha cervina - Plants For A Future database report</ref>
