Origanum onites, the Cretan oregano,Template:Citation needed Turkish oregano,<ref name=GRIN>Template:Citation</ref> pot marjoram<ref name=GRIN/> or rίgani in Greek (Ελληνική ρίγανη), is a plant species in the genus Origanum found in Sicily, Greece and Turkey.<ref>Template:Cite journal</ref> It has similar flavors as oregano. Its essential oil can be distinguished from other species such as Greek oregano (Origanum vulgare ssp. hirtum).<ref>Template:Cite journal</ref> It has antimicrobial activities.<ref>Template:Cite journal</ref>
